REVIEW:
Appearance (5%):
Pours hazy light orange into a pint glass. White head. 4.5/5Smell (25%): Tropical stone fruit. Mango and papaya detected. Complementing resiny and creamy malt akin to the New England style. 4.5/5
Taste (40%): Follows the nose. Creamy malt and resin comes through, but the tropical stone fruit shines on the aftertaste. 4.5/5
Mouthfeel (10%): Medium-bodied, some carbonation. Slightly sticky and some dry tongue, otherwise a juicy IPA. 4.25/5
Overall (20%): An excellent to outstanding IPA. I was waiting for Ex Novo to release a tasty New England-style beer, and I happily approve this one. It has all the traits I expect in this particular style. Double dry-hopped beers FTW. It may be a limited-time/seasonal release, but I wouldn't be surprised to see it made and released again in 2018. 4.5/5
Final Weighted Rating: 4.475/5
