REVIEW:
Appearance (5%): Pours black into a taster glass. Tan head, some lacing. 4.5/5

Smell (25%): Mostly coffee and vanilla, with some coconut. 4.5/5

Taste (40%): Toasted coconut-forward with vanilla, coffee, and even some chocolate. Another wave of the toasted coconut and vanilla on the back end. Amazed by how easy-drinking this one is. Octane held in check very well. No way would I guess it is 15%. 4.75/5

Mouthfeel (10%): Full-bodied, some carbonation. Velvety on the tongue. 4.5/5

Overall (20%): An outstanding Imperial (Triple) Stout. I of course made the mistake of ordering this and Great Notion's Triple Stack at the same time, so it was impossible on appearance alone to differentiate the two. Luckily, the beers taste different, and the coconut on this one gave it away. Girth Brooks is a tremendous, easy-drinking Imperial Stout that dangerously drinks far easier than its stated ABV. You'll get every bit of the coffee, vanilla, and toasted coconut with each sip. I'm giving it the nod over South of Eleven. 4.75/5

Final Weighted Rating: 4.65/5
