What's on the Can/Website: "Hopped to extract bright tropical character and gentle bitterness, this (clearly) juicy IPA features a fruity hop profile, soft body, and sparkling clarity. Trust your tastebuds and you won't need a visual aid to appreciate vibrant hop notes of pineapple, mango, and tangelo." Read more here!

REVIEW:

Appearance (5%): Poured slightly hazy golden into a pint glass. Appears unfiltered. White head with trace lacing. 4.25/5

Smell (25%): Tropical pineapple, grapefruit, and other citrus. 4.75/5

Taste (40%): Mostly sweet citrus from start to finish. Tropical continues through the aftertaste. Refreshing. 4.75/5

Mouthfeel (10%): Medium-bodied; good carbonation. Some dry tongue, but lovely tropical lingers. 4.25/5

Overall (20%): An outstanding to world-class IPA. After enjoying lovely Double IPAs such as Animal Cookies and Sticky Hands (the various incarnations) from Block 15, The Audacity of Opacity is a stellar, tropical-forward IPA that leaves a positive impression on me. 4.75/5

This blog is simply a place for me to review various craft beers that I can get my hands on. I will generally try to buy the bottle (or can) if possible. Obviously, this is all subjective.

Right now, I am most likely to drink IPAs or Double IPAs, but that can change. If there are any "must-buy" beers out there, I hope to find and review it.

Because I want to deliver quality reviews, I also plan to include additional information in each post, including but not limited to: (1) ABV; (2) type of beer; (3) price; (4) where bought; and (5) some scores from other beer review websites at the time of posting.

Before people start asking, no, I likely will not be brewing my own beer -- although I have considered it before. Lack of patience. :-/
