What's on the Bottle/Website: "Our Hazy IPA is all about high hops and low bitterness achieved by skipping kettle hops – something we’ve never done before! Pale and White Wheat malt give this IPA a smooth, slightly hazy backbone accentuated by Mosaic, Centennial, and Liberty hops added post boil with a dry hop finish. An East Coast style, now made better on the West Coast."  Read more here!

REVIEW:

Appearance (5%): Poured hazy golden into a pint glass. Frothy white head with lots of tiny bubbles. 4.25/5

Smell (25%): Soft tropical, includes berries and stone fruit. 4/5

Taste (40%): Soft tropical and floral, includes berry and stone fruit flavors. Fairly assertive malt backbone, otherwise refreshing. Some citrus on the aftertaste, but would want more of that. 3.75/5

Mouthfeel (10%): Medium-bodied, some carbonation. Juicy with trace dry tongue. 4.5/5

Overall (20%): A solid IPA. I haven't had many Bridgeport Brewing beers, but this one was pretty good. Soft tropical all the way, a stark contrast to the usual hop-forward and more bitter West Coast style. To me, it fit the bill of an East Coast IPA. I wish it brought more tropical aftertaste to help it stand out as a more memorable offering. 3.75/5

Final Weighted Rating: 3.913/5
