REVIEW:
Appearance (5%):
Pours hazy light orange into a pint glass. White head. Some lacing at the top of the glass. 4.5/5Smell (25%): Tropical citrus and stone fruit (i.e. peach and papaya). More malty, dank, and octane-forward than Not Too Brite, which was released in mid-December. 4.25/5
Taste (40%): Octane-forward, then a malty experience before finishing with abundance of tropical citrus. Octane and malt may have upstaged the tropical a bit too much for me. 4/5
Mouthfeel (10%): Medium-full bodied, some carbonation. More on the syrupy side with some juicy qualities, some dry tongue. 4.25/5
Overall (20%): An awesome Double IPA. Ex Novo produced another wonderful NE-style beer here. While I hoped the octane would stay more in check, I could appreciate the tropical more towards the aftertaste. 4/5
Final Weighted Rating: 4.113/5
