REVIEW:
Appearance (5%):
Poured clear pink into a pint glass. Lots of carbonation / tiny bubbles. Looks like a pink cider. 4.5/5Smell (25%): Fruity tart, strawberry and even bubble gum comes to mind. 4.5/5
Taste (40%): Burst of tart fruit from start to finish. Very refreshing. No octane detected at all. I could drink this all day. 4.75/5
Mouthfeel (10%): Medium-bodied; significant carbonation. Slightly sticky on the tongue to hold the sweet-tart experience. 4.5/5
Overall (20%): An outstanding hard soda. Small Town Brewery has officially released its latest line of hard sodas (or perhaps they could even be ciders?) with the Not Your Mom's series. I thought I would like the Apple Pie more than the Strawberry Rhubarb, but the reverse came true, thanks to the more in-your-face sweet-tart experience. In my book, Not Your Father's Root Beer (5.9%) remains the gold standard from this brewery, but people preferring ciders may want to take a look at this one. 4.5/5
Final Weighted Rating: 4.6/5
