REVIEW:
Appearance (5%):
Poured slightly hazy light golden into a pint glass. Unfiltered; sediment suspended in the beer. White head, some lacing at the top of the glass. 4.5/5Smell (25%): Assertive tropical orange/tangerine. 4.75/5
Taste (40%): Dank and malt-forward presence, accompanied by a burst of tropical orange and tangerine. Full tropical onslaught from start to finish. Extremely drinkable Double IPA. 4.75/5
Mouthfeel (10%): Medium-bodied, some carbonation. Juicy and creamy mouthfeel, with a little dry tongue. Tropical sticks on the tongue. 4.5/5
Overall (20%): An outstanding to world-class IPA. This is beer #3 for me in Revision's 2017 hazy releases, and yet again, another monster home run. This is basically a slightly amped-up version of Tahoe Haze that I reviewed a couple weeks back. Single cans of this do get pricey, and that played a factor in placing this just below Tahoe Haze, but all the tropical flavor in Distance Haze makes this a kickass purchase. 4.5/5
Final Weighted Rating: 4.663/5
