REVIEW:
Appearance (5%): Poured slightly hazy golden into a pint glass. Unfiltered, sediment at the bottom of the can and suspended in the beer. White head, trace lacing. 4.25/5Smell (25%): Sweet tropical citrus and ripe stone fruit, with some hoppy or resinous notes. 4.25/5
Taste (40%): More hop-forward with slight tropical notes. Largely a straightforward IPA, but one that appears to combine West and East Coast styles. Trace octane detected. Aftertaste has a citrus peel vibe. Still quite refreshing. 3.75/5
Mouthfeel (10%): Medium-bodied, some carbonation. Some dry tongue. 4.25/5
Overall (20%): An awesome IPA. For me, a fairly unassuming IPA that does the job: drinkable, good flavor, and balanced. 4/5
Final Weighted Rating: 4/5
If you haven't hit up Ruse brewery, you should definitely check it out. They are making some killer NE IPA's these days, and it's fairly easy to get 4-packs of them at the brewery.
