What's on the Can: "This is not a 'Milkshake', it's a 'Juice Shake NE DIPA'! What's that? First we start with an amazing base beer that was developed to make orange flavors through triple dry hopping, then we added loads of actual oranges! Keep Cold, Drink Fresh. Unfiltered and super hoppy, sediment is normal so let it settle and leave it behind. Always pour into a glass. Cheers LCB Brewmaster!"
Where distributed: Local Craft Beer can be found in California.
REVIEW:
Appearance (5%): Poured hazy orange-peach-colored into a pint glass. Unfiltered; sediment at the bottom of the can. White head; some lacing. 4.25/5Smell (25%): Tropical orange, possibly also bubblegum, with good malt backbone. Not a pulpy orange, perhaps more straight slightly sour fruit. 4/5
Taste (40%): Follows the nose. More of the slightly sour orange experience. Tropical vibes are more noticeable towards the aftertaste. Very low bitterness. 4/5
Mouthfeel (10%): Medium-bodied, some carbonation. Juicy with some dry tongue. 4.25/5
Overall (20%): An awesome Double IPA. Orange is there, but more on the sour side. From what I could detect, not a pulpy citrus-like orange. Not sure if I would 100% say it's orange flavor if you didn't tell me oranges were in here. Still, a refreshing beer that I would gladly drink. 4/5
Final Weighted Rating: 4.038/5
