Commercial Description: "This is a one of a kind hazy IPA that combines a carefully crafted base with a juicy burst of orange flavors. Angelica was designed to be a unique showcase for the incredible Mosaic hop. The malt bill creates a clean and perfectly balanced backbone to highlight the mixed berry and stone fruit qualities common to Mosaic. After experiencing that beer we knew it would blend perfectly with oranges to create a special limited beer. The orange flavor combines with a berry melody to pop an incredible, fruity aroma that is matched by its easy drinking flavor. The haze craze goes great with orange!"

Where distributed: Lord Hobo usually just distributes their beers in Massachusetts and/or the surrounding New England area. Click here for more info!

REVIEW:
Appearance (5%): Pours hazy golden-orange into a pint glass. Unfiltered; lots of sediment at the bottom of the can. White head; some lacing. 4.5/5

Smell (25%): Lots of sweet orange citrus with stone fruit, berry. Blend of mostly wheat and some oaty malts. 4/5

Taste (40%): Orange-tangerine notes from the start, with more a orange citrus peel or zest (only slight bitterness) into the aftertaste. Basically reminded me of a flatter orange soda at the start. 4.25/5

Mouthfeel (10%): Medium-bodied; some carbonation. Juicy with trace dry tongue. 4.25/5

Overall (20%): An excellent IPA. Just like its more common Angelica beer, this Hazy Orange version has wheat malt characteristics that distinguish it from a regular IPA. I'm a fan of the orange presence in this one, although perhaps a bit light on the flavor overall. But refreshing and ideal for warmer months. Reasonably priced. 4.25/5

Final Weighted Rating: 4.2/5
