What's on the Can/Website: "A hybrid of a White Ale and West Coast IPA and super-sized for your drinking pleasure. This Double IPA is brewed with Wheat to give it a pale white color and a slight sweetness in the finish. At its core this is a hop forward beer, bitter and heavily dry-hopped with a combination of Centennial, Cascade, and Simcoe hops. This blend of hops imparts notes of Spice, Citrus, and Pine in the aroma. A deceivingly drinkable beer despite its high alcohol content." Read more here!

REVIEW:
Appearance (5%):
Poured slightly hazy dark golden into a pint glass. Frothy off-white head, good lacing. 4.25/5Smell (25%): Mostly hoppy grapefruit and pineapple with complementing malr. 4.5/5
Taste (40%): Follows the nose. Wonderful citrus-forward flavors with complementing malt backbone. Some octane detected. Aftertaste includes grapefruit and pineapple. Bitterness kept wonderfully in check. 4.25/5
Mouthfeel (10%): Medium-bodied, some carbonation. Trace dry tongue. 4.25/5
Overall (20%): An excellent Double IPA. A wonderful introduction to Duck Foot Brewing. Tropical is the star here, and the malt backbone confirms the 8.6% ABV. Interesting that the product apparently had gluten removed (although of course, they can't guarantee all gluten was removed). I haven't been to San Diego since I was a kid, but just the abundance of breweries in the area make me want to go back. 4.25/5
Final Weighted Rating: 4.313/5
