REVIEW:
Appearance (5%):
Poured hazy light orange into a pint glass. Unfiltered beer; sediment
at the bottom of the can. White head, some lacing at the top of
the glass. 4.5/5Smell (25%): Initially was more hop floral, but after a while, intense tropical citrus. 4.75/5
Taste (40%): Starts with a slight resiny malt presence, with burst of tropical citrus flavors. Aftertaste includes soft orange and tangerine. To me, very similar to Revision's Smoke & Mirrors DIPA, but even more ridiculously easy drinking. 4.75/5
Mouthfeel (10%): Medium-bodied, some carbonation. Extremely juicy. 4.5/5
Overall (20%): A world-class Double IPA. While 7+ percent ABV qualifies as a Double IPA, I've rarely seen beers actually labeled as such until it hits about the 8% mark. Like many other hazy IPAs from Revision, this one brought immense tropical. Basically the same hop profile as Smoke & Mirrors Double IPA, while listed at a slightly lower ABV. 4.75/5
Final Weighted Rating: 4.713/5
