REVIEW:
Appearance (5%):
Poured hazy light orange into a pint glass. Unfiltered beer; sediment
at the bottom of the can. White head, some lacing at the top of
the glass. 4.5/5Smell (25%): Soft resiny dank with hop floral and some tropical citrus. 4.25/5
Taste (40%): Soft resiny dank and hop floral at the start. Hop flavors continue for several seconds, then hit the wall of citrus. Bitterness is significantly kept in check. Aftertaste, which I prefer, includes orange, grapefruit, and tangerine Think Sticky Hands without all the bitterness; wasn't quite prepared for the hop floral resiny when I'm told it's a NE-style beer. 4/5
Mouthfeel (10%): Medium-bodied, some carbonation. Extremely juicy. 4.5/5
Overall (20%): An awesome Double IPA. Admittedly my least favorite of the Revision hazy NE-style beers so far, but I'll gladly drink this if I want a resiny beer without the abundant IPA bitterness. On a side note, I've loved the designs for all of Revision Brewing's hazy beers, especially this one and Smoke & Mirrors. 4/5
Final Weighted Rating: 4.138/5
