REVIEW:
Appearance (5%):
Pours hazy coral-purple (reddish-pink-purple) into a pint glass. Unfiltered beer. Off-white head. 4.25/5Smell (25%): Blueberry muffins. Includes the biscuity experience. All I need are some more blueberry muffins to eat. 5/5
Taste (40%): Tart-blueberry forward. Biscuity experience towards the middle. Everything combines in the aftertaste. It really feels like you're consuming a blueberry muffin. Crazy and cool at the same time. The tartness is masterfully controlled. 4.5/5
Mouthfeel (10%): Medium-light to medium-bodied, some carbonation. Fairly dry on the tongue. 4.25/5
Overall (20%): An outstanding to world-class Fruited Sour Ale. I'm generally not a big sour beer fan, but Blueberry Muffin is a big exception. From the first time I had this on draft last year, I was sold. You'll be drawn in by the smell of blueberry muffins, and the tartness really complements that blueberry essence. A ton of rave reviews on Untappd. It is best drank fresh or when they tap it at the brewpub. Highly recommended. 4.75/5
Final Weighted Rating: 4.638/5
