What's on the Can/Website: "We found an old mechanical hop picking machine in the fields of England, in the shadow of Stonehenge. With a lot of work, a modicum of sweat and a little monkey grease, the newly refurbished machine has been repurposed to deliver hop flavor to your mouth as efficiently as possible. Featuring a heap of citrusy Citra and mounds of mango-ish Mosaic hops conveyor belted on a base of wheat and flaked oats."
Where distributed: As of April 2018, Revision Brewing distributes to nine states. See if they distribute to your area!
REVIEW:
Appearance (5%):
Poured hazy light orange into a pint glass. Unfiltered, sediment at the bottom of the can. White head; trace lacing at the top of
the glass. 4.25/5Smell (25%): Tons of tropical citrus and stone fruit; complementing resiny notes. A bit of oaty essence. 4.75/5
Taste (40%): Follows the nose; very mellow tropical with no bitterness (at least to me). Complementing oats and malt. Extremely easy drinking, especially for 8%. Aftertaste is all citrus. I savored every drop. 5/5
Mouthfeel (10%): Medium-bodied, good carbonation. Extremely juicy and creamy mouthfeel. 5/5
Overall (20%): A world-class Double IPA. At least on this day, The Bruff proved to be best of the Revision Brewing hazy IPAs that I've had to date. Big tropical flavor, but at a higher ABV than Planet Lovetron or other single IPAs. The Mosaic hops strike again. Another kickass, uplifting choice from Revision Brewing. 4.75/5
Final Weighted Rating: 4.85/5
