Appearance (5%):
Poured hazy dark golden into a small jar (because I had no pint glass here). Tons of off-white head; good lacing. 4.5/5Smell (25%): Mostly tropical pineapple and some berry with complementing malt. 4.75/5
Taste (40%): Follows the nose; fairly clean and straightforward to me, all the way through the aftertaste. 4.75/5
Mouthfeel (10%): Medium-bodied, good carbonation. Tropical sticks, some dry tongue. 4.25/5
Overall (20%): An outstanding to world-class Double IPA. The flavors remind me a lot of Melvin's IPA, which I've been a huge fan of for a while. I've had a couple of Maui Brewing beers before, but this is the first one I've officially reviewed on this blog. I'm a big fan of Mosaic hops, which made it a no-brainer to buy. Reasonable price for a 4-pack. Two thumbs up from the panda! 4.75/5
