What's on the Website: "We have long wanted to brew something on the heedlessly hoppy side. Brewing IPA was a lot of fun! By working with Great Notion founder-brewers James Dugan and Andy Miller we were learning from two of the very best! The beer we created is a hazy, hoppy melange of Galaxy and Mosaic with a hybrid yeast strain with both wild (Belgian) and tamed (American) characteristics, coming in around 6.5%abv and full of juicy, ripe, exotic flavors and yet a soft profile from our farm well water—and a light touch in carbonation." Where distributed: Wolves & People and Great Notion Brewing generally do not can or bottle their beers. Some beers are available in 32 oz crowlers at Great Notion. As of February 2018, Wolves & People make irregular distribution of their beers to select spots. Check their website for more!

REVIEW:
Appearance (5%): Poured hazy light orange into a tulip glass. White head. 4.5/5

Smell (25%): Abundance of tropical. Blend of pineapple, tangerine, orange, and mango, with resiny and oaty notes. 4.5/5

Taste (40%): Follows the nose; filled with tropical from start to finish. Tropical continues into the aftertaste. 4.75/5

Mouthfeel (10%): Medium-bodied, some carbonation, creamy coating on the tongue. 4.5/5

Overall (20%): An outstanding Double IPA, bordering on world class. While Wolves & People are not known for their IPAs, they were in good hands collaborating with Great Notion. Another beer with abundant tropical permeating the nose and mouth. 4.5/5

Final Weighted Rating: 4.6/5
