Appearance (5%): Poured clear golden into a pint glass. White head, trace lacing. 4.5/5

Smell (25%): Pleasing tangerine/citrus with complementing toasty malt. Has similarities to a rye IPA on smell. Also berry or stone fruit notes. 4.75/5

Taste (40%): Burst of tangerine from start to finish. Smooth for a Double IPA. Lovely tangerine/tropical aftertaste. Bitterness kept in check. A dangerous beer for sure. 4.75/5

Mouthfeel (10%): Medium-bodied, good carbonation. Some dry tongue, and a pleasing bitterness lingers. 4.25/5

Overall (20%): An outstanding to world-class Double IPA. I loved the Unfiltered 2XIPA last year, and I think the abundant tangerine/citrus makes this one even better. Top-notch flavor. Southern Tier continues to impress me with some delicious choices. Same price as the Unfiltered 2XIPA, too. 4.75/5
