Commercial Description: "A hazy NE-style IPA brewed with Mecca Grade malted barley, raw buckwheat, and raw spelt. El Dorado, Motueka, and Simcoe hops."

Where distributed: Brouwerij West can be found in California. Unknown if they currently distribute anywhere else. I currently will not find this in the Pacific Northwest. Brouwerij West has been in business since 2010.

REVIEW:

Appearance (5%): Poured hazy peach-colored into a pint glass. Frothy white head and some lacing at the top of the glass. 4.5/5

Smell (25%): Creamy pineapple, tangerine, guava, and peach/stone fruit. Tropical all the way. Glorious. 4.75/5

Taste (40%): The first sip did not have much flavor at the start, but then a slow tropical build (mostly peach, tangerine, guava, and pineapple) through the aftertaste. Subsequent sips had more awesome tropical all around, and the malt was more noticeable when pairing this with food. Awesome stuff. 4.5/5

Mouthfeel (10%): Medium-bodied, some carbonation. Velvety, extremely juicy, little dryness on the tongue. 4.5/5

Overall (20%): An outstanding IPA. While I enjoyed Picnic Lightning a bit more, I still enjoyed the tropical experience from Falling Water. On the first sip, I didn't get as much flavor, but the tropical crept up through the aftertaste. On subsequent sips, there was awesome tropical all around, and the malt was more noticeable when pairing this with food. Unique labeling with stickers to form a design, but I liked it. It's still pricey, but again, worth it for science. 4.5/5
