What's on the Bottle: "For our 9th year anniversary ale, we decided to do something different. We aimed to alter the taste buds of craft beer drinkers everywhere. We are reimagining the craft beer market place. We introduce to you India Pale Ale. We scoured the history books and discovered a process called dry hopping. Through this process, Disruptor IPA became a showcase for all the amazing flavors and aromas imparted by hops. Every barrel of beer is loaded with 5 pounds of hops, so when the beer hits your mouth, it disrupts your senses, in all the right ways."

REVIEW:
Appearance (5%): Initially pours a clear golden-orange. There's sediment at the bottom of the bottle, so it will eventually look hazy and sandy inside. Frothy head (maybe 4 mm) and sudsy surface. Nice lacing. 4.5/5

Smell (25%): Very hop-forward. Malty and some citrus-grapefruit detected. 4.25/5

Taste (40%): Mostly citrus-grapefruit and hoppy with a controlled bitterness. Some maltiness. Excellent flavor. Some alcohol detected. 4.25/5

Mouthfeel (10%): Medium to medium-full body. Really coats the tongue nicely. Bitterness lingers in a good way. 4.25/5

Overall (20%): An outstanding IPA. Might be one of the gems of the Pacific NW, as I nabbed a 22 oz. bottle for under $4. Still, it is a limited-time, seasonal item, so hopefully next year's anniversary ale is like this one. I would definitely buy this one again and encourage others to try it if they see it. 4.5/5

Final Weighted Rating: 4.313/5
