REVIEW:
Appearance (5%): Poured hazy peach to light burnt orange into a pint glass. Frothy white head, good lacing on the glass. 4.5/5

Smell (25%): Tropical citrus with complementing sweet malt. Perhaps a bit more malty than most NE-style IPAs I've had. 4.5/5

Taste (40%): Follows the nose. Some malt, but consistent tropical citrus from start to finish, even into the aftertaste. Lots of orange and tangerine. I rarely find a beer below 6.5% that brings this intense a flavor, and the tropical burst here is top-notch. 4.75/5

Mouthfeel (10%): Medium-bodied, some carbonation. Mostly juicy, with very slight dry tongue. 4.25/5

Overall (20%): An outstanding IPA. No surprise here because Barley Brown's has distributed great beer to Oregon for eons. While I've otherwise (generally) had traditional American IPAs from Barley Brown's, I'm pleased to see they also make a delicious New England-style IPA. If only they bottled or canned this...wishful thinking for now, I guess. 4.5/5

Final Weighted Rating: 4.575/5
