What's on the Can/Website: "Ah, the early 90's. When VHS reigned supreme and Amazon was just a rainforest. Locally, the idea that San Diego would one day have a flourishing craft beer industry was all but a dream. Karl Strauss and Pizza Port have plenty of stories about the trials and triumphs of those early wonder years. But my, how times have changed, and so have beer styles! Wonder Years Hazy IIPA is brewed with Columbus, Cascade, Mosaic, and Citra hops It's big and juicy, packed with sweet citrus flavors and a rounded finish. Cheers to getting by with a little help from your friends."

Malts: Pale 2-Row, White Wheat, Vienna Malt, Simpson Golden Promise.

Where distributed: Karl Strauss beers are currently only found in Southern California.

REVIEW:
Appearance (5%): Poured hazy golden-orange into a pint glass. Unfiltered. Frothy white head, trace lacing. 4.5/5

Smell (25%): Big tropical aromas, including tangerine and stone fruit, with complementing oaty malt. 4.5/5

Taste (40%): Juicy tropical-forward with extra burst of tropical into the aftertaste. Aftertaste is all citrus. Slight octane with oaty malts. 4.25/5

Mouthfeel (10%): Medium-bodied, some carbonation. Juicy with slight dry tongue. 4.25/5

Overall (20%): An excellent Double IPA. The tropical is the star and octane is hidden very well for 8.5%. Low IBU consistent here with a New England-style, in my book. 4.25/5

Final Weighted Rating: 4.325/5
