REVIEW:
Appearance (5%): Poured black into a pint glass. Tan head, some lacing. 4.25/5

Smell (25%): Mostly roasted coffee and cocoa, with slight maple notes. 4/5

Taste (40%): Follows the nose, with more assertive roasted malt in the middle. Cocoa and roasted coffee shine more through the aftertaste. Octane is well-masked. 4.25/5

Mouthfeel (10%): Medium-full bodied, some carbonation. Dry tongue. 4/5

Overall (20%): An awesome to excellent Imperial Stout. As advertised, you'll get a lot of coffee in this one. Still, whenever I see something like this, I can't help but think of Great Notion's Double Stack (even if Double Stack is a breakfast stout and Pancake House is deemed a Russian Imperial). Could Pancake House be a substitute for coffee in the morning? Probably not, but if you're a coffee lover, you will love this one. 4.25/5

Final Weighted Rating: 4.163/5
