What's on the Bottle: "An exotic hazy IPA, with no bite. Beautifully confused."

What's on the Website: "Our series of rotating hazy IPAs continues with this new release!

We keep exploring the furthest corners of the world of hazy IPAs with this new beer. Coming Out Party, which originally began as a collaboration with our friends at Comrade Brewing in Denver, is a high octane hazy that hits you hard with tropical, dank, and citrus-heavy hops.

Taiheke - a New Zealand-grown version of Cascade - is featured prominently in this beer, and we love its intense lemon-lime character. Alongside that, you'll get big notes of passionfruit and mango that we get from judicious additions of Mosaic and Vics Secret. The hops are couched in a pillowy malt base that makes the finish super soft. This is about as close as we get to a 'full New England' experience in our hazy beers at Breakside!

Brewed in small batches and released in limited quantity just for three months of the year, this beer will be extremely fresh until it quickly disappears."

Hops: Mosaic, Taiheke, Columbus, Vic Secret.

Where Distributed: Breakside distributes to several states. This beer may only have had even more limited distribution, however.

REVIEW:
Appearance (5%): Poured orange golden into a pint glass. White head, trace lacing at the top of the glass. 4.25/5

Smell (25%): Extremely juicy tropical. Pleasing heavy citrus. 5/5

Taste (40%): Predominantly citrus grapefruit and tangerine. Trace dank notes. Refreshing with controlled tropical bitterness. Aftertaste includes more citrus and other tropical. 4.75/5

Mouthfeel (10%): Medium-bodied, some carbonation. Extremely juicy with trace dry tongue. 4.75/5

Overall (20%): A world-class IPA. It says 92 IBU on the website, but it's nowhere near that level of bitterness, in my book. Big fan of the heavy tropical here. Extremely refreshing and delicious. 4.75/5

Final Weighted Rating: 4.788/5
