What's on the Can: "LOVE IPA is double dry hopped and super dank. A pillowy mouthfeel and tropical flavors of mango, cantaloupe and citrus will keep you infatuated. XOXO."

What's on the Can/Website: "LOVE is bursting with hoppy tropical flavors. Built on a simple base of Pilsner malt and rolled oats, this super dank IPA has a pillowy mouthfeel and is double dry-hopped with Mosaic, Citra and Simcoe. REVIEW:

Appearance (5%): Pours hazy light orange into a pint glass. Unfiltered; sediment at the bottom of the can. White head, trace lacing. 4.5/5

Smell (25%): Tropical with complementing, yet assertive resinous and oaty qualities. 4.5/5

Taste (40%): Follows the nose, tropical forward with oaty malts and resinous backbone. Mango and melon detected. More tropical on the aftertaste. Very refreshing. 4.5/5

Mouthfeel (10%): Medium-bodied; good carbonation. Pillowy. Very juicy with trace dry tongue. 4.5/5

Overall (20%): An outstanding IPA. Almanac delivers an excellent NE-style IPA full of tropical flavors and an assertive resinous backbone (without overtaking the tropical too much) to take it to the next level. 4.5/5

This blog is simply a place for me to review various craft beers that I can get my hands on. I will generally try to buy the bottle (or can) if possible. Obviously, this is all subjective.

Right now, I am most likely to drink IPAs or Double IPAs, but that can change. If there are any "must-buy" beers out there, I hope to find and review it.

Because I want to deliver quality reviews, I also plan to include additional information in each post, including but not limited to: (1) ABV; (2) type of beer; (3) price; (4) where bought; and (5) some scores from other beer review websites at the time of posting.

Before people start asking, no, I likely will not be brewing my own beer -- although I have considered it before. Lack of patience. :-/
