REVIEW:
Appearance (5%):
Pours hazy light golden into a pint glass. Unfiltered; sediment suspended in the beer. White head; trace lacing on the glass. 4.25/5Smell (25%): Lemon and other citrus, with pine. As stated, it definitely has that Kolsch or Pilsner malt smell. 4.25/5
Taste (40%): Follows the nose; more of a lemony grapefruit citrus presents itself. Malt is lighter and complements the hop choices. Refreshing and fairly straightforward. 4/5
Mouthfeel (10%): Medium-bodied; good carbonation. Slight dry tongue. 4.25/5
Overall (20%): An awesome Double IPA. I pretty much got this beer because it's a collaboration with Three Floyds. While I generally don't care as much for the session IPAs (or anything that may resemble one) because many of them usually are lighter-bodied and lack the intense flavor I crave, this was one of the better IPAs I've had in that category. It was also citrusy refreshing, which helped a lot. I've always heard about Three Floyds Zombie Dust being one of the top American Pale Ales to try. I plan to eventually get to it. 4/5
Final Weighted Rating: 4.1/5
