REVIEW:
Appearance (5%): Pours hazy orange into a pint glass. Unfiltered, sediment at the bottom of the can. Off-white head, trace lacing. 4.25/5Smell (25%): Tropical orange, mango, possibly guava, and other tropical fruit. 4.5/5
Taste (40%): Follows the nose. Largely tropical-forward experience with complementing hop bitterness. Loving the orange and mango flavors. Probably a bit more bitter than the traditional NE-style IPA (more moderate in bitterness than normal) but boasts good flavor throughout. 4.25/5
Mouthfeel (10%): Medium-bodied, some carbonation. Slight dry tongue. 4.25/5
Overall (20%): An excellent IPA. The local hazy IPA game keeps getting better. Coldfire Brewing, which had been draft-only for its first two years of existence, finally released some of its beer in cans at the beginning of the year. Apparently it had been the second-largest draft-only brewery in the state (behind Boneyard) until they decided to sell beer in cans. I'm happy Coldfire started selling cans; I'm a fan of this IPA. 4.25/5
Final Weighted Rating: 4.313/5
