REVIEW:
Appearance (5%):
Poured hazy golden into a pint glass. White head. Some lacing. 4.25/5Smell (25%): Tropical (citrus and stone fruit), slight dank, creamy malt. 4/5
Taste (40%): Some tropical and dank at the start, quite balanced. Aftertaste features more citrus and other tropical notes. 4.25/5
Mouthfeel (10%): Medium-bodied, good carbonation. Slightly dry tongue. 4.25/5
Overall (20%): An awesome Double IPA. Although this is my first review of Culmination's beers on this blog, I've enjoyed their Phaedrus IPA for quite some time. Their Triple IPA, Ferret the Younger, is also a solid (albeit limited-time) beer during February (and perhaps into March). Admittedly, Elation is not overly spectacular when stacked up against other heavy hitters in the IPA and Double IPA world. Still, Elation is a very solid beer. Be sure to check out their brewery in Portland! 4.25/5
Final Weighted Rating: 4.188/5
