REVIEW:
Appearance (5%):
Poured cloudy peach-colored into a pint glass. Unfiltered. Also reminds
me of POG juice in color. White head and trace lacing on the glass. 4.25/5Smell (25%): Tropical and POG (passion-orange-guava) in nature. Guava comes through. Quite accurate here. 4.25/5
Taste (40%): Same as the nose, good tropical, POG-like qualities upfront, refreshing. However, the flavor ends prematurely for my liking and leaves me wanting more. 3.75/5
Mouthfeel (10%): Medium-bodied, some carbonation. Slightly dry on the tongue. 4.25/5
Overall (20%): A great IPA. First official review of a Coronado Brewing beer is mostly positive. Guava was a lovely addition. A bit more back-end flavor and punch to this one likely would net a higher rating. I actually didn't realize Coronado shipped to Oregon and Washington, an oversight on my part. Decent price at $6.49. 4/5
Final Weighted Rating: 4/5
