What's on the Bottle/Website: "Tropical fruit meets tropical vibes in this 'guavacated' version of our Islander IPA. Brewed with the classic West Coast combo of Centennial, Chinook and Columbus hops, this beer gets the tropical treatment with a hefty dose of fresh guava puree. The result is a surprisingly smooth unfiltered IPA bursting with tropical goodness that's sure to put you in that island state of mind." Read more here!

REVIEW:
Appearance (5%): Poured cloudy peach-colored into a pint glass. Unfiltered. Also reminds me of POG juice in color. White head and trace lacing on the glass. 4.25/5

Smell (25%): Tropical and POG (passion-orange-guava) in nature. Guava comes through. Quite accurate here. 4.25/5

Taste (40%): Same as the nose, good tropical, POG-like qualities upfront, refreshing. However, the flavor ends prematurely for my liking and leaves me wanting more. 3.75/5

Mouthfeel (10%): Medium-bodied, some carbonation. Slightly dry on the tongue. 4.25/5

Overall (20%): A great IPA. First official review of a Coronado Brewing beer is mostly positive. Guava was a lovely addition. A bit more back-end flavor and punch to this one likely would net a higher rating. I actually didn't realize Coronado shipped to Oregon and Washington, an oversight on my part. Decent price at $6.49. 4/5

Final Weighted Rating: 4/5
