What's on the Can: "Hazy Double IPA w/ Mosaic and Nelson hops. Funky. Fun. Experimental. Sometimes traditional."

Hops: Mosaic, Nelson.

Where distributed: Concrete Jungle likely distributes just within California for now.

REVIEW:

Appearance (5%): Poured hazy light orange into a pint glass. Unfiltered, lots of sediment at the bottom of the can. White head; some lacing. 4.25/5

Smell (25%): Predominantly sweet tropical citrus. 4.75/5

Taste (40%): Tropical forward with complementing malts at the start, then a burst of tropical grapefruit and some pineapple into the aftertaste. Tropical aftertaste and very refreshing. 4.5/5

Mouthfeel (10%): Medium-bodied, good carbonation. Very juicy with some dry tongue. 4.25/5

Overall (20%): An outstanding IPA. As with many New England-style beers, big fan of the tropical citrus. That extra wave of grapefruit and pineapple makes this that much more memorable. 4.5/5

Final Weighted Rating: 4.525/5

This blog is simply a place for me to review various craft beers that I can get my hands on. I will generally try to buy the bottle (or can) if possible. Obviously, this is all subjective.

Right now, I am most likely to drink IPAs or Double IPAs, but that can change. If there are any "must-buy" beers out there, I hope to find and review it.

Before people start asking, no, I likely will not be brewing my own beer -- although I have considered it before. Lack of patience. :-/
