What's on the Can: "An ode to all the parents out there and out love of fruit beers. This kettle sour was fermented with 'pantfulls' of marionberry, boysenberry, and blueberry puree. Drink up now because it's time to get your Jammy Pants on!"

Where distributed: Great Notion Brewing currently self-distributes their beer. They do can releases (4-packs of 16 oz cans) at their NW location, and otherwise may sell leftover 16 oz cans or 32 oz crowlers at their NE Alberta taproom. Of course, the COVID-19 pandemic put a halt to dine-in services.

REVIEW:
Appearance (5%): Poured dark magenta-purple into a pint glass. Unfiltered, lots of sediment in the beer and at the bottom of the can. Pink hue on the head, virtually no lacing. 4.5/5

Smell (25%): Assertive mix of marionberry, boysenberry, and blueberry. Tartness present on the nose. 4.5/5

Taste (40%): Fruity tart from start to finish. Fermentation more noticeable on the back end. Amazing refreshing experience. 4.75/5

Mouthfeel (10%): Medium-full bodied, good carbonation. Dry tongue but refreshing at the same time. 4.25/5

Overall (20%): An outstanding fruit sour. I never used to be a fan of fruit sours until breweries like New Glarus and Great Notion changed my mind. Wonderful tartness without being overly sour, and the refreshing fruity flavors make this an ideal beer any time for me. 4.5/5

Final Weighted Rating: 4.575/5
