Commercial Description: "For 'Juice of Champions' DIPA we went for maximum juice effect to deliver the highest juice units possible! Though no ruit was harmed in the making of this beer, but plenty of Citra and Amarillo were! Big and bright with alternating layers of peaches, melons, & citrus, with a soft, pillowy pulp free mouthfeel thanks to a small amount of flaked corn and wheat; sorry not fruits!
***Warning, due to some confusion in the market with 'Juice Cleanse' IPA, 'Juice of Champions' is a beer, not a dietary food supplement not in fact a juicer itself.***"
Hops: Citra, Amarillo, Comet.
Malts: Pilsner, Malted Wheat, Flaked Corn.
Yeast: Four Square.
Where distributed: Matchless Brewing distributes to Oregon and Washington.
REVIEW:
Appearance (5%): Poured hazy light-orange into a pint glass. Unfiltered; some sediment at the bottom of the can. White head, trace lacing. 4.25/5Smell (25%): Blend of malt-dank backbone with citrus and citrus peel. 4.25/5
Taste (40%): Follows the nose; malt, some resinous-dank, and citrus blend to start. The wave of citrus and citrus peel continues into the aftertaste. 4.25/5
Mouthfeel (10%): Medium-bodied, some carbonation. Very juicy with some dry tongue. 4.25/5
Overall (20%): An excellent IPA. Lovely back-end citrus punch on this one. Consistent with its 8.8% IPA tag and also consistent with its juicy name. 4.25/5
