REVIEW:
Appearance (5%): Poured hazy light orange into a pint glass. Unfiltered; some sediment at the bottom of the can. Frothy white head; some lacing. 4.5/5Smell (25%): Tropical citrus and stone fruit with some earthy notes. Complementing oaty and wheat malts. As the beer warms up, tropical becomes more pronounced. 4.25/5
Taste (40%): Mostly tropical and malt to start. Earthiness works its way into the fold afterward. Mostly tropical on the aftertaste. Very refreshing given the 9% ABV tag. 4.25/5
Mouthfeel (10%): Medium-bodied, some carbonation. Very juicy with slight dry tongue. 4.25/5
Overall (20%): An excellent Double IPA. The earthiness may have slightly overpowered the tropical that I wanted at certain stages, but the tropical remained the star overall throughout. It was worth the buy, in my book. 4.25/5
Final Weighted Rating: 4.263/5
