REVIEW:
Appearance (5%):
Poured hazy light orange into a pint glass. Unfiltered. White head, some lacing. 4.5/5Smell (25%): Mix of tropical stone fruit/citrus, resin, and oaty malts. 4.5/5
Taste (40%): Tropical-forward with complementing resin and oaty malts. Becomes all tropical citrus and stone fruit through the aftertaste. Refreshing and drinks very easy. 4.5/5
Mouthfeel (10%): Medium-bodied, good carbonation. Very juicy with trace dry tongue. 4.5/5
Overall (20%): An outstanding Double IPA. It's been a while since I had the initial release of this beer, but the 2018 wet hop version, to me, was a great improvement. More tropical, good resin, and very drinkable. Fits the New England-style IPA profile. 4.5/5
Final Weighted Rating: 4.5/5
