REVIEW:
Appearance (5%):
Pours hazy peach-colored into a pint glass. Unfiltered; sediment at the bottom of the can. Frothy white head; some lacing. 4.5/5Smell (25%): Tons of tropical citrus, including orange, tangerine, pineapple, and stone fruit. 4.75/5
Taste (40%): Very tropical experience, some oaty malt to start but then lots of citrus and stone fruit through the aftertaste. Some octane felt, but still refreshing and hides the 9.5% pretty well. 4.5/5
Mouthfeel (10%): Medium-full bodied; some carbonation. Very juicy. 4.5/5
Overall (20%): An outstanding Double IPA. Crazy tropical on the nose and tongue while hiding the octane. I understand why this one got such rave reviews on Untappd and Beer Advocate. To me, this is a New England-style DIPA worth trying. I wish the wallet didn't get hit so hard, though. 4.5/5
Final Weighted Rating: 4.563/5
