What's on the Can: "A true globetrotter, this tasty IPA gets its name from its hop profile, featuring the iconic Vic Secret from Australia and Sabro - a unique variety bred from a wild hop native to the mountains of New Mexico. The intersection of these two territorial hops is a juicy, tropical wave worth riding with a distinctly coconut-tinged finish that’s worth the trip. So, where're we headed?"

Hops: Sabro, Vic Secret.

Where distributed: Crux distributes to Oregon, Washington, parts of Idaho (around Boise), and parts of California (Bay Area and Humboldt County). Their beer has also been spotted in Japan and the Netherlands.

REVIEW:
Appearance (5%): Poured a slightly hazy golden-copper into a pint glass. White head, some lacing. 4.5/5

Smell (25%): Juicy tropical citrus and slight coconut. 4.75/5

Taste (40%): Citrus tropical from start to finish. Some coconut detected, but it's the citrus that keeps me coming back for more. Billed as an American IPA, but not overly bitter. Drinks very smooth. 4.75/5

Mouthfeel (10%): Medium-full bodied, some carbonation. Very juicy with slight dry tongue. 4.25/5

Overall (20%): An outstanding IPA. Since I moved from the Pacific NW, Crux is another brewery that I really miss having all the time The can already had amazing artwork - bonus points for the shout-out to New Mexico - but I could probably drink this beer nearly every day. 4.75/5

Final Weighted Rating: 4.688/5
