REVIEW:
Appearance (5%): Poured dark brown into a pint glass. Tan head with virtually no lacing. 4.25/5

Smell (25%): Traditional malty sweet with some hop notes. 4.25/5

Taste (40%): Toasted sweet, bready malt throughout. More fruitiness detected on the back end that reminds me of plums or grapes. Drinks far easier than its stated 8.3% label. 4.5/5

Mouthfeel (10%): Full bodied, some carbonation. Sticky sweet malt loves to stay around to maximize the flavor experience. 4.25/5

Overall (20%): An excellent Doppelbock. My friends really love to send me new stuff that I probably normally wouldn't get (I remain the IPA guy at heart), but I'm grateful they open my eyes to different beer styles. Now I see why Doppelbocks can pair so well with food. Accumulator is yet another delicious brew in Block 15's impressive lineup. 4.25/5

Final Weighted Rating: 4.35/5
