When brewed? Limited-time beer to celebrate the local NW music scene.

What's on the Bottle: "A Revolution You Can Dance To: Indie Music in the Northwest is now on display at the Washington State History Museum in Tacoma through April 23, 2017. In celebration of this exhibit, we partnered with influential people in the 90s Northwest music scene.

This beer is in collaboration with John Atkins, whose debut 764-hero album, Salt Sinks and Sugar Floats, was recorded in Olympia 21 years ago.

The exhibit examines how music, art, and politics from bands creating music and performing in Olympia spread their influence statewide, regionally, and then across the country. This glimpse into a local music scene shows how anyone from any region can have a striking impact on art and history.

Join us at the museum on March 2, 2017 at 7pm as we celebrate this time in music with an evening of music, art, and beer tastings."

Where distributed: As of March 2017, 3 Magnets Brewing ships just to the Pacific Northwest. I know they are at least found in Oregon and Washington. See if 3 Magnets ships to your area!

REVIEW:
Appearance (5%): Poured hazy peach colored (or burnt orange) into a pint glass. Unfiltered beer. Frothy white head, with good lacing on the glass. 4.5/5

Smell (25%): Tropical hop-forward, mostly pine, guava, orange, and other tropical notes. 4.5/5

Taste (40%): Follows the nose, tropical hop-forward. Sediment helps bring that extra tropical feel throughout the drinking experience. Piney, guava, orange, and other tropical notes without being overly bitter. Complementing malt. 4.25/5

Mouthfeel (10%): Medium-bodied, good carbonation. Slightly dry on the tongue. 4.25/5

Overall (20%): An excellent IPA. It's been a bit since I've reviewed a 3 Magnets beer, but they continue to impress. I'm a big fan of hazy beers and this one not only appears as advertised, but brings awesome tropical-hop experiences with it. Reasonable price and an ideal ABV (for me). I could drink this one all day. 4.5/5

Final Weighted Rating: 4.375/5
