REVIEW:
Appearance (5%):
First pour was clear golden. There was sediment at the bottom of the bottle, so the last pour was very hazy/cloudy. Off-white head and some lacing. 4.25/5Smell (25%): Mostly tropical and fruity. Getting citrus, grapefruit, berries, and complementing sweet malt. 4.5/5
Taste (40%): Hop-forward. Piney with mostly citrus and grapefruit flavors. Controlled bitterness. Definitely a fan. 4.5/5
Mouthfeel (10%): Medium-bodied, good carbonation. Only slightly dry on the tongue for me. 4.25/5
Overall (20%): An excellent IPA. It's been a while since I've reviewed a beer that is brewed closer to where I'm at (most of my reviews lately have come from breweries much further from here). Still, this one is right up my alley, with all that citrus and grapefruit engulfing my mouth. I don't always get out to the Minnehaha neighborhood in Vancouver, WA, but now I know Ghost Runners exists and has a quality IPA. It also looks like their Pre-HOPtaine Double IPA uses a lot of Mosaic hops, so that too will be on my list. A great buy at $5.49 per bomber. 4.25/5
Final Weighted Rating: 4.413/5
