REVIEW:
Appearance (5%):
Poured clear golden into a pint glass. Frothy off-white head. 4.25/5Smell (25%): Getting mainly grapefruit and passion fruit, with some citrus. Complementing malt. Wonderful. 4.25/5
Taste (40%): Easy drinking and tropical at the start. Flavor slightly fades on the aftertaste. Still very good. 4/5
Mouthfeel (10%): Medium-bodied, some carbonation. Dry on the tongue. 4/5
Overall (20%): An awesome IPA. I'm happy that El Segundo ships to Portland now, and I'm likely not alone in that statement. For me, it drinks easy and should not be a big hop-bomb from an IBU standpoint. I'd like a bit more flavor through the aftertaste, although I'm not sure if that's because I drank a two-month-old beer (should not make too big of a difference). The $8 price tag is reasonable here. Overall, another thumbs up for this great brewery. 4/5
Final Weighted Rating: 4.075/5
