REVIEW:
Appearance (5%): Poured clear orange-copper into a pint glass. White head which dissipated rather quickly. 4.5/5

Smell (25%): Very hop and malt-forward, certainly dank. Fairly balanced tropical and piney notes. 4/5

Taste (40%): Assertive malt-forward and dank, with some tropical and piney qualities. Quite hoppy. Has some octane on the sip but still enjoyable. 4/5

Mouthfeel (10%): Medium-bodied; that malt coats everywhere in the mouth. Some carbonation. 4/5

Overall (20%): A solid Double IPA. I found Hammerland to fit the Double IPA bill pretty well, yet I definitely enjoyed the Broken Skull IPA much more for its drinkability and smooth nature. I didn't equate "blueberry" with the dankness, but still tasted great. In my book, this is a very good pickup if you're an IPA fan and want a bit more punch in your pint glass. 4/5

Final Weighted Rating: 4.025/5
