What's on the Can: "Cloaked in a semi-translucent haze, an imposing presence beckons you to come closer. As you do, your nose opens to a tangent of wistful memories — peach season in the orchard, a tangerine tree on a hill, fresh honeydew cold from the fridge, and a vanilla cream soda in your hand. What kind of bittersweet initiation is this?"
Malts: 2-Row, Malted Wheat, Unmalted Wheat.
Hops: Centennial, Simcoe, Strata (and more).
Where distributed: Elysian distributes to a wider population since being purchased by AB InBev.
Smell (25%): Blend of sweet citrus, pine, and hops. Some octane detected. 4.5/5
Taste (40%): Follows the nose, wonderfully balanced sweet citrus, pine, and bitter hops. Aftertaste has more of a citrus peel experience. Not too sweet, not too bitter. Dangerous brew that drinks very easy for 8.8%. 4.5/5
Mouthfeel (10%): Medium-bodied, some carbonation. Leaves a dry tongue. 4/5
Overall (20%): An outstanding Double IPA. It's been ages since I've had an Elysian beer, and I'm glad to see it's still awesome. Definite bonus points for how drinkable Full Contact is; it drinks so dangerous for 8.8% while having that balanced sweet citrus and bitter hop experience. I'm also a fan of the can art. 4.5/5
Final Weighted Rating: 4.438/5

REVIEW:
Appearance (5%): Poured mostly clear golden into a pint glass. White head, virtually no lacing. Thought the beer would have been hazier. 4.25/5Smell (25%): Blend of sweet citrus, pine, and hops. Some octane detected. 4.5/5
