What's on the Website: "Fort George's 3-Way IPA has become as signal to the start of summer. Once a year, Fort George extends an invitation to two breweries, chosen for their mastery in the art of IPAs.

"Built on a structurally sound foundation of pilsner malt, spelt, and flaked oats, and dry-hopped with ridiculous levels of Simcoe, Azacca, Citra, and Chinook hops, this juicy beast is coming to crush your summer. 3-Way IPA has enough tropical fruit flavors to satiate a giant lizard, playing on pleasant notes of melon and fresh orange peel, and a soft finishing touch, like a gorilla on the bongos.

"2020's 3-Way IPA is a collaboration with Level Beer of Portland, Oregon, and Structures Brewing of Bellingham, Washington."

Hops: Simcoe, Azacca, Citra, Chinook.

Where distributed: Fort George generally distributes just in the Pacific Northwest.

REVIEW:
Appearance (5%): Poured hazy light orange into a pint glass. Unfiltered; sediment at the bottom of the can. Frothy white head. 4.5/5

Smell (25%): Balanced resinous malt with hoppy citrus peel (orange/grapefruit) and other tropical notes. 4.5/5

Taste (40%): Resinous malt, with tropical fruit and citrus peel, from start to finish. Less resinous and even juicier when the beer warms up. More hoppy at the beginning and juicier towards the end. Aftertaste is more citrus peel, in a faint form. Lovely flavor. 4.75/5

Mouthfeel (10%): Medium-full bodied, some carbonation. Very juicy and a bit creamy with some dry tongue. 4.25/5

Overall (20%): An outstanding IPA. Another successful collaboration this year as Fort George, Structures, and Level Beer deliver a delicious hazy IPA. The resinous flavors enhance the IPA experience without overtaking the palate. 4.75/5

Final Weighted Rating: 4.625/5
