REVIEW:
Appearance (5%): Poured hazy light-orange into a pint glass. Frothy white head, but virtually no lacing. 4.25/5Smell (25%): Assertive tropical citrus, grapefruit and pineapple. Top-notch for a pale ale. 4.75/5
Taste (40%): Tropical citrus, permeates the senses in a pleasant manner. Citrus bitterness present. Tropical continues into the aftertaste. 4.5/5
Mouthfeel (10%): Medium-bodied, good carbonation. Creamy and juicy with slight dry tongue. 4.25/5
Overall (20%): An outstanding Pale Ale. The citrus tropical really won me over. I think the IBU is higher than whatever would be reasonably defined as "low", but that's not a criticism at all of the beer itself. Aperture is a wonderful brew that showcases what the Pacific NW has to offer. 4.5/5
Final Weighted Rating: 4.525/5
