REVIEW:
Appearance (5%): Pours hazy light orange into a pint glass. Unfiltered, some sediment at the bottom of the can. White head; some lacing. 4.5/5Smell (25%): Blend of resinous tropical citrus and stone fruit. As the beer warms up, it becomes more citrus-dominant. Complementing malt backbone. backbone. 4.25/5
Taste (40%): Follows the nose. Initially a resinous-tropical mix, it becomes slightly more tropical-forward as the beer warms up a tad. Some citrus orange flavors continue into the aftertaste, but mostly a pilsner-like malt leaves me wanting more flavor at the end. 4.25/5
Mouthfeel (10%): Medium-bodied; some carbonation. Very juicy with trace dry tongue. 4.5/5
Overall (20%): An excellent Double IPA. Since I've enjoyed beers from both breweries in the past, it was a no-brainer buying this collab. They came through with this refreshing Double IPA that drank easier than its stated 8% ABV. While I would have liked a bit more citrus punch overall, I'm pleased with this. 4.25/5
Final Weighted Rating: 4.288/5
