What's on the Bottle: "A blend of chocolate and vanilla with a hint of coffee and lactose sugar to create the beer version of a soft serve swirly ice cream cone."

Appearance (5%): Pours dark brown into a pint glass. Tan head, trace lacing. 4/5

Smell (25%): Chocolate, coffee, and vanilla, with a hint of sweet malt. 4/5

Taste (40%): Follows the nose from start to finish. Really a fan of the chocolate and coffee here. Easy drinking. 4/5

Mouthfeel (10%): Medium-light to medium-bodied, some carbonation. 4/5

Overall (20%): A great Brown Ale. I don't drink too many brown ales, but I can get behind this one. Swirly just feels meant to be paired with a soft-serve cone, and perhaps some coffee. So, enjoy Swirly in the morning or at night. Sounds logical to me. King Harbor has some pretty good beers, folks. 4/5
