Commercial Description: "After loads of research on the style (i.e. drinking!) we are stoked to release our first crack at a New England-Style IPA!! There is a lot of nuance in this style, so we researched hop varieties and schedules, yeast and fermentation processes and water chemistry to bring you as good a beer as we could brew!

LINE CULTURE NE-STYLE IPA:

2-Row Pale Malt and Bob's Rolled Oats make for a rounded and fluffy body tha's a great foundation to the insane amount of hop character. El Dorado in the whirlpool provide notes of tropical fruit and candy, whereas Mosaic, Amarillo and Columbus in the dryhop provide loads of bubblegum, candied orange, pink grapefruit and juicy fruit notes that jump out of the glass endlessly! English yeast bring some nice fruit esters to the party and help to provide the hazy indicative of this style!"

Where distributed: Baerlic Brewing only put this beer on draft at their pub.

REVIEW:
Appearance (5%): Poured hazy light orange into a tulip glass. Frothy white head, good lacing. 4.75/5

Smell (25%): Abundance of sweet tropical. Orange, tangerine, and bubblegum. 4.75/5

Taste (40%): Follows nose, slight yeasty notes. Aftertaste is filled with tropical orange and tangerine. Juicy, fruity, and inviting. 4.75/5

Mouthfeel (10%): Medium-bodied, some carbonation. Extremely juicy on the tongue, some creaminess. 4.75/5

Overall (20%): A world-class IPA. Baerlic did a tremendous job researching and nailing the New England-style IPA. Before I knew it, my glass was empty, and I wanted more. Uplifting, refreshing, and delicious. I wish this would be bottled, but instead, I'll look forward to if they do another NE-style IPA. Since it's only a dollar more for 4 more ounces, I'd totally get the pint if I see this again. Deserving high marks for this one. 4.75/5

Final Weighted Rating: 4.75/5
