REVIEW:
Appearance (5%): Poured clear golden into a pint glass. Very frothy white head and good lacing on the glass. Lots of sediment at the bottom of the bottle, so the final pour will be cloudy. 4.5/5

Smell (25%): Tropical citrus and complementing malt. Also some pine in there. 4.5/5

Taste (40%): Hop-forward with mostly balanced pine and citrus. Definitely on the bitter side; you'll feel every bit of those 70 IBUs. Aftertaste is a faint citrus. Wishing for just slightly more oomph of flavor on the back end. Feels like a straightforward IPA at the end of the day. 4/5

Mouthfeel (10%): Medium-bodied, good carbonation. Gets fairly dry on the tongue. 4.25/5

Overall (20%): A solid IPA. A Men's Journal article touted La Lupulosa as one of the best Mexican beers. When placed among some of the more memorable ones I've had, this one is unlikely to stand out (as I said above, it's a straightforward, stereotypical IPA). But make no mistake, it's still very drinkable. I drank the entire bottle, so these guys have to be doing something right. 4/5

Final Weighted Rating: 4.175/5
