What's on the Can: "Samba Haze will flood your senses with its tropical bouquets and flavors! Just as a falling ripe fruit, our unfiltered Hazy NE IPA needs to be freshly enjoyed. This masterpiece should be kept cold and poured slowly (active cultures at the bottom of the can)."

Where distributed: As of May 2017, Novo Brazil mainly distributes their beer in California, but they also sell their beer online.

REVIEW:

Appearance (5%): Poured hazy light orange into a pint glass. Unfiltered. Frothy off-white head, but not much of it when pouring. 4.5/5

Smell (25%): All tropical. Getting a lot of citrus orange/tangerine. 4.75/5

Taste (40%): Refreshing and easy-drinking. Palate bombarded with a pleasing tropical citrus. Aftertaste is all citrus orange and tangerine. It's on the lower ABV range of a typical IPA, yet still packs wonderful flavor. Very dangerous beer, in a good way. 4.5/5

Mouthfeel (10%): Medium-light to medium-bodied, decent carbonation. Juicy and tropical. No bitterness lingers, all tropical bliss. 4.75/5

Overall (20%): An outstanding Double IPA. After having the Bossa Haze, I also nabbed the Samba Haze as part of my Novo Brazil New England-style IPA experience. I ended up enjoying Samba Haze more. I kept thinking about Great Notion's Juice Jr. (now going by Junior at the brewery) while drinking this; even the New England-style IPAs lower on the ABV content can still be tasty, juicy, and delicious. Like Bossa Haze, this one was getting a little pricey at nearly $4.50 for one 16 oz can. Samba Haze is still worth it, if even to try. I thoroughly enjoyed my helping. 4.5/5
